Privacy policy
How Umbon Industries collects, uses and protects personal data through this website.
1. Who we are
Umbon Industries is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We are a company registered in the Republic of Kosovo, building technology for national resilience.
| Controller | Umbon Industries |
|---|---|
| Address | Zona Industriale, 10000 Prishtinë, Kosovo |
| contact@umbon.tech | |
| Telephone | +383 48 866 888 |
2. Scope
This policy applies to umbon.tech and to enquiries you send us through it. It does not apply to any separate agreement you may have with us, to recruitment carried out through other channels, or to third party websites we link to.
3. What we collect and why
We collect only what you choose to give us, plus the minimum technical information needed to run the site securely.
| Contact form | Your name, email address, organisation if you give one, and the content of your message. We use this solely to read and answer your enquiry. |
|---|---|
| Technical record | The IP address and timestamp of a form submission. We keep this to detect abuse and to prove when a message was received. |
| Server logs | Our hosting provider records standard access logs, including IP address, request and browser identification, under its own retention schedule. |
We do not use advertising, profiling, or automated decision making. We do not buy or sell personal data.
Analytics. If, and only if, you accept the privacy notice shown on your first visit, we load Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It records a truncated IP address, the pages you view, approximate location at city level, and basic device and browser information. It is operated by Google Ireland Limited as our processor and may involve transfer outside Europe under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. If you decline, the tag is never loaded and no analytics cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.
4. Lawful basis
- Your request. Where you contact us, we process your data to take steps at your request and to pursue our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- Legitimate interest. Where we keep technical records, our interest is the security and integrity of the site, balanced against the limited nature of the data.
- Legal obligation. Where we are required to retain or disclose information under the law of the Republic of Kosovo.
5. Cookies
None of the cookies below are used for advertising.
| Session cookie | Essential. Set when the page loads, so the contact form can be protected against cross-site request forgery. Expires when you close the browser. |
|---|---|
| Privacy notice cookie | Essential. Records whether you accepted or declined the privacy notice, so it is not shown again and so your choice is respected. Expires after one year. |
| Analytics cookies | Optional, set by Google Analytics only after you accept. They distinguish one visitor from another so visits are not double counted. They expire within two years and sooner on most browsers. |
6. Who sees your data
Your enquiry is read by the people at Umbon Industries responsible for answering it. We share it beyond that only with our hosting and email provider, with Google where you have accepted analytics, which processes it on our instructions in order to deliver and store the message, and with a public authority where we are legally required to disclose it. We do not transfer personal data outside Europe for our own purposes.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards to maintain a record of our correspondence, normally not more than twenty-four months, after which they are deleted. Technical records are kept for a shorter period. Where an enquiry becomes part of a contract or a legal matter, it is retained for as long as that relationship and any applicable limitation period require.
8. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Form submissions are validated on the server, protected against cross-site request forgery, and transmitted to our mailbox over an authenticated and encrypted channel. Access to enquiries is limited to those who need it. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, and we ask that you do not send classified, export-controlled or commercially sensitive material through the contact form. Write to us first and we will agree an appropriate channel.
9. Your rights
Under the Law on Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Kosovo, Law No. 06/L-082, and in line with the General Data Protection Regulation, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and give you a copy;
- correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete data where there is no longer a reason for us to keep it;
- restrict or object to our use of it, including where we rely on legitimate interest;
- receive it in a portable form, where that right applies.
Write to contact@umbon.tech and we will respond within the period the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Information and Privacy Agency of the Republic of Kosovo.
10. Children
This site is intended for business and institutional audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as our activities or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
12. Contact
